Hello Gigglelotbirds, this is Diane. Welcome back to my BlogVlog Adventures website. If you’ve been checking out my website or reading my stories. I’m sure you’ve probably come across my Cozy Crochets blankets, hats and scarves created by me and my family.

Cozy Crochets Collections
Baby Blanket

In today’s story I am Introducing Cozy Crochets to my BlogVlog Adventures website. I guess I should have done that from the beginning because it is part of my brand, my line of what is to come in the future. I take pride in what I create.

I’ve been doing all kinds of crafts, projects and DIYs since forever. I’ve just never showcased them before until now on my website. In the past I’ve always been shy and embarrassed to display my work. So those feelings go away once you establish your niche. I also feel that having your own business and you’re own website and you can just about post anything you want. Nothing too crazy but my work that I’ve worked very hard on. My Art work. And it is Art. To some it might not be Art.

Cozy Crochets

However; like every other artist out there. It takes a lot of blood, sweat and tears to perfect and hone your talent. It’s also time consuming and the materials are not cheap but very expensive. Especially if you want to create the very best that will last a lifetime.

So here I am Introducing my next line of blankets to Cozy Crochets franchise. My franchise. And here it is my other blankets that I’ve crocheted a few years ago. And I will be adding to the Cozy Crochets Collection. They were very popular among my family and friends. They loved my work. Also according to them it was unique in the way I crocheted them. I don’t think it was but if my style pleased them then I am happy that I found my signature.

This is another blanket I crocheted and gave away as a birthday present for a dear friend of mine I worked with for years. She loved the blankets I made and the colors I used. So I thought “What would be a perfect gift to give her?” and so I made the blanket pictured down below.

Believe me at the time when I crocheted the blankets I did my research on the Internet and found nobody crocheted like I did. I’m not sure about today although I again did the research and still have not found anyone crocheting like I do. It was very hard but again I had to continue to do it til I perfected and honed the crocheted project how I wanted it to look like. It wasn’t easy but in the end it was done and the results were beautiful.

One of the blankets Donna’s Meadow’ I call it my signature blanket. What makes it my signature blanket is the huge flower I sew in the center. It is pictured down below. I have also crocheted two other blankets like this before to family members years ago and they loved it and they still have them today. One blanket was in purple and white colors with a huge white daisy in the center blanket and the other was in orange and white colors with also a huge white daisy in the center. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures to post but the blankets do exist and are in great condition today. Those blankets are just as beautiful as the one in the photo below.

I learned to crochet at a young age by my mother. She was very talented and a perfectionist. It was hard and very difficult at first because my mom wasn’t a very patient person. I always messed up the yarn or tangled it.

Donna’s Meadow

However; I did manage to learn the techniques of crocheting but I felt it was just to hard and I thought I could never be as good as my mom’s. So I gave up and stopped altogether. My mom tried to convince me to continue but I just couldn’t. She also tried her best to teach me a little in Quilting and sewing. And I did pick up a few things on that technique as well, but crocheting became my most favorite.

A few years had past that I decided I wanted to crochet again. So I did the best to remember what my mom had taught me all those years ago. My mother could no longer show me again because she had gotten sick and couldn’t do anything with her hands and fingers anymore. She couldn’t even hold a crochet stick. It was very hard and very heart breaking sad to see that.

So I just figured I would teach myself the rest because what my mom had taught me had come tumbling back to me in my memories. Back in the day we didn’t have YouTube tutorial videos like we do today. So I had to go to the library or a book store and purchase one of those crochet kits. And start my own personal courses and taught myself.

The rest is history. Since than I was able to crochet the most beautiful blankets I never thought I would be able to crochet. I still think I’m not as good as my mom. However; I am happy to say that my mom got to see my work and she loved it and was very proud of me.

My mom since has passed away in 2007. I miss her so much and every day. I always think about her when I’m crocheting something. The blankets or whatever that I crochet are my mom’s Legacy. I also dedicate this page to my mother, because if it wasn’t for her and her teachings. I would never had continued this journey, of the world of crocheting.

Our Beautiful Mother
Irene

She gave me a part of her talent that hopefully I passed on to my sister and my nieces. And hopefully after I’m gone. My mom’s legacy will continue to grow and flourish within our family. The only thing that my mother and I do regret is not knowing how to Knit. However; I am trying to learn that art skill. It is hard and frustrating to me. But I’m sure they’re are a lot of talented knitters out there. And I hope and wish that one day I will become one as well.

Hello Gigglelotbirds this is Diane. Welcome back to my BlogVlog Adventures website. I would love to introduce to you my other Cozy Crochets to the yarn family. A baby blanket I crocheted years ago. It was my first baby blanket at the time. I can’t remember what year I crocheted the baby blanket. But it was a few years before my nephew Tres was born.

I loved the colors that I put together. The blanket itself is strong and durable yet warm and soft to the touch. Then a few years later when my nephew Tres was born. My sister was able to use it on him. My nephew is seven years old today going on eight this month. That baby blanket is more than seven years old. As you can see in the photos, it practically still looks brand new.

The Cozy Crochets that I make are all done by hand and by me or by someone in my family. I use the very best yarn and I make sure that it’s the type of yarn that will last a life time. Sometimes projects like these and depending on what type and size of blankets, scarves, hats or whatever it is that I’ll be crocheting. Will take months, weeks or a couple of days to crochet. And again it depends on what it is and the size.

Also projects like these take up a lot of time, and money. You Ladies and Gentlemen know exactly what I’m talking about if you do it yourself or if you know someone that does. As for me I simply love it. It is relaxing and I come up with more ideas on what to crochet next. Or on any other projects I’m working on. I even crocheted a matching pillow to go with it but unfortunately I no longer have it. I believe I sold it or gave it away as a gift.

However; if you are interested in purchasing this baby blanket. I’ll be happy to crochet one for you. Just leave a comment down below and let me know and I’ll be happy to speak with you and discuss prices for this particular blanket or any other Cozy Crochets you’ve seen on my website.

Cozy Crochets

Hello Gigglelotbirds this is Diane and welcome back to my BlogVlog Adventures website. January and February have come and gone and we’re now in March. The winter hasn’t gone away the way we thought it would. It feels like it’s planning to stick around a little longer. Which means we still can not put away our winter hats, scarves and coats just yet. Jack Frost is still nipping at our nose.

So as I’ve said once before on another post that I would post more pictures of the projects of handmade crochets that we have been working very hard on. My niece Rachel actually crocheted some beautiful cozy hats. They are beautifully made and very durable but yet comfy and soft.

Rachel crocheted more hats than what I posted and she sold them already. But don’t worry, she is working on crocheting more cozy hats and scarves in the near future. And I will post and update on that another time.

Rachel’s Cozy Hats

This next photo is my absolute favorite. I mean I love them all but this one takes the cake, and it is very thick, soft and all around cozy. The hat and scarf comes as a set. Rachel did an excellent job with this set. The beautiful colors she chose goes with any outfit.

As you can see in the photos above. Rachel’s Winter Storm looks and feels comfortable and they are. It’s made with the best yarn money can buy. Like any Artist, when we crochet we use nothing but the best material that’s very well made.

The rest of the Cozy hats are previews of what is to come in the future. More cozy hats, scarves, blankets, and so much more. And I am very excited about that.

Even though I’ve said they were just previews. However; if you are interested in purchasing one of these items that I have showcased. And if you are interested in a Cozy hat or the Golden Shimmer scarf or Rachel’s Winter Storm set. Please let me know in the comments below.

On Pluto Now The Uninvited

Movie Life
Drive-In Reviews

The Uninvited made its debut January 30, 2009. It was based on Kim Jee-Woon’s 2003 Korean horror film. A story of two sisters returning home to their father from a mental institution, whose recovery is hindered by their cruel stepmother.

The cast and crew of the 2009 movie did a wonderful job putting this cinema together. Very mind blowing with surprising twist in the end. The two young actresses starting with the eldest who plays Alex (Arielle Kebbel) reminds me of Megan Fox while the young actress who plays Anna (Emily Browning) reminds me of a very young Shannon Doherty. These two lovely young ladies did a great job in performance to the screen. In fact everyone did. I think it was very well made and straight to the point. I felt there was action from the start and all the way through the end. I hope you enjoy this movie as much as I did. And if you haven’ seen it, I suggest you go watch it now.

In this horror film The Uninvited is about two sisters who live with their father but the girls mother is very sick and dying. The nurse they hire to take care of the mother, though it seems, is up to no good. I won’t go into details just incase you haven’t seen it. All I can say is I loved the movie when I first saw it on Netflix. And I’ve since seen it a billion times and I haven’t gotten tired of it. It has since joined my army of favorite movies I have bought and own or downloaded. And I will certainly download it. Unfortunately it has been taken off the Netflix library but happy to say that it is now showing on Pluto.

I’m not sure if you’ve heard of Pluto https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pluto-tv-live-tv-and-movies/id751712884 but let me tell you. It is the best app around. It also has its own library of movies to choose from and they’re always adding new titles to it. Unfortunately they have commercials but it is free and new channels are also always being added as well. Please go check it out. You won’t regret it.

So grab a snack, a soda and turn down the lights and enjoy a scary movie with your friends or alone. Happy movie trails.

A Video Tutorial For Tres School Assignment

My Social Life In Social Media

My Social Life In Social Media

Hello Gigglelotbirds this is Diane. Welcome back to my BlogVlog Adventures website. In todays story my nephew Tres was given a school assignment to do a video for a school project. It was to be a short video tutorial on whatever the child wanted to do. Then once it was filmed he or she was to explain the process of how it was done.

Tres decided that his video tutorial would be on how to make “A Grilled Cheese Sandwich.” Both versions of the videos were put together and uploaded to our YouTube channel Gigglelotbird67. Please go and check it out and subscribe. These videos were filmed in January 26th and the 27th of 2020.

My sister Belen who’s also the mother of this adorable little boy filmed the two versions. The video was to be three minutes long but the first video was four minutes long. So they decided to film a second video which hit the mark and also made the cut. His teacher Ms. Nancy Noone loved it and made a grilled cheese sandwich.

While I was editing the video even I craved one. We also got a few commenters that actually made and ate a grilled cheese sandwich. My baby sure knows how to sell good food.

What I love about his school is that his teacher’s want their students to be creative and use their imaginations to their full potential. Tres has learned and developed so much than I ever did when I was his age.

I am so proud of my nephew and so is his momma and daddy. Tres is also very sweet, kind and caring. He also has a very good heart. I pray that God continues to bless him always and everyday.
